No they don't!
Amazing boulangerie of delicious bread and pastries, but more than that, a wonderful and caring staff! I had left my prescription glasses there during my holidays, and they sent it back to me here in Vancouver! A big shout out to Christian and Janice for their awesome customer service! Merci!!
Always fresh and delicious. Different things everyday and staff is friendly.
The walnut fig bread rocks, the almond croissant is to die for, the olive fougasse is the best in town and almond chocolate raspberry bite is heavenly.
Another bakery on the must visit list! This is the place for 🥐. They we so flaky, airy, buttery, and just a taste of heaven in your mouth! We also got some other pastries as well - champignon coco & vanille and mini chocolate croissant.
I love this bakery! They label all their products which is extremely thoughtful for vegans or people with intolerances. Vegan options: English muffin, sunflower seed and tamari braided bread, sweet vegan bite, vegan tofu sandwich and a variety of breads. The service is really fast and the store is lovely to look at. The bread is of course delicious and there are so many options available. There is an outdoor sitting space which is nice during the summer. Love this place and always stop by when I walk by (it smells so delicious that you can’t help it)! Wish there were more vegan options when it comes to their grab and go area (there is a sandwich and vegan energy bites).
Fresh, tasty and affordable. Guillaume is the definition of what a neighborhood bakery should be.
Freshly baked goods is one of the best ways to start a day. Or get through it. Or finish it for that matter 😁
Friendly service, great selection of bread. Recommended item: white chocolate brioche (champignon chocolat et vanille). The reason for four stars instead of five is their baguette - it did not have a fresh and crispy crust when I received it and tasted just average.
Great bakery! Got a bunch of different baked goods, with a nice outdoor seating area.
One of my favorite bakeries of all time. (I even bought a t shirt!) Their baguettes are perfect and the make this brioche vanilla whites chocolate roll thing that will blow your mind. Fantastic croissants too. If you get a chance to try their bread pudding muffins you must. Very friendly and located in a cool neighborhood.
This is the best Garlic cheese bread that I ever had !
Open 7 to 7. Nice selection and good service. Highly recommended.
Tried the croissant, it’s a bit bready and not so flakey. Pretty average for what I was expecting for, but maybe the other pastries and breads are better.
A french bakery in the full sense of the word. Delich breads, baguette, croissant and baking goods of all sorts. There is a usual line up here as it is justifiably popular.
That was without a doubt the best brioche (🍄 champignon) I ever had. Period :) (just wish I took a photo before I stuffed my face with it 😉
Excellent service and fantastic bread 🥖🥐
Immediately loved this place. The system works! Get in line, pick your bread, move down the line and pay! So smooth and fast. The bread was amazing. We stocked up to bring home. The chocolate croissants are the best I've ever had. Would definitely go back.
Good selection of sweet and savory baked goods. The quality and taste of the bread they offer is really great.
great selection of breads that I've never seen in my life
To each their own, but how do people think this is a quality croissant? It made us think it was from Costco. Maybe you could get away with this in some American city, but even then I've had much better. It's shameful. Maybe it was good some time long ago, but nothing about this tastes good or is well prepared. You'd have better luck with those croissants straight out of a can. Please, please go back to the basics.
The bread is excellent but the girls that work there could be more friendly :/
Great variety of pastries and breads to choose from. I took quite a few pastries to try them out with a friend and we were disappointed by none! They were are very flavourful and had a good fluffy texture. The prices are also very good for the quality and the staff knew exactly what to recommend according to our taste, very friendly and considerate!
Delicious breads and pastries! Large selection to choose from. It's a must see kind of place when you visit Montreal.
Stumbled upon this place when we were walking around looking for breakfast one morning. I’m glad we did. This place is amazing. It has amazing bread, pastries and sweet breads. Would recommend it to anyone in the area. Service is also fantastic (service in Montreal is generally really good).
Nice looking pastries but they all have a freezer burn taste. The owner should clean the freezers/fridges or change them.
A friend recommended this place to us for our Montreal visit, and we didn't regret taking her recommendation. Guillaume had wide selection of freshly baked bread and pastries when we visited, and they were priced very reasonably. We especially enjoyed their baguette :-) Very nice neighborhood bakery.
I really wanted to love the place, but two things got me to make it 3 stars:- the quality of the pastries was not of the excellence I had in mind (I had the tribe Elisabeth, the blue cheese and nuts and the tamari sunflower seed bread) and they were all too dry and not as good as can be(Maybe my standards are too high, but they are what they are !)- no cutting the bread...Except for that ut is a very nice and modern looking place.Advice to them ? Reduce the amount of times (soooo many) and increase the quality.Maybe I came on a bad day, pastries and bread have a certain randomness.. honest review though !
These guys are really good, first time today and I loved it!
Butter croissants are not my favorite but the cheese croissant and english muffin are awesome. Coffee is my personal favorite in the area! Prices are okay, but they don't have a machine to slice your fresh loaf of bread. The staff is very kind, and they always accept my reusable bag!
Very good bakery. Bread was crusty on the outside, soft on the inside. Lots of choices. The coffee was a bit bitter though. The beet bread was very nice. Would be going back to try out more.
Delicious breads! I literally tried like 15 kinds... There is no sitting area but there is a stand-in bar in case the weather is inclement and you want to savour your purchases in site. They also sell coffee, chocolate... Very nice stop!
Super friendly staff, some of whom spoke English. The pastries and bread were really good and the shop was super cool looking! Would come here again!
Everything you every needed in a bread lines their wall of bins display. Great helpful staff and no bad choice to be had.Enjoyable open outdoor space also provides comfort zone to never having to wait too long to sip your favourite beverage or bite into your purchase delight.
Very good bakery. French croissants galore!
My favorite bakery in Montréal. I like their improvement during the years. The last one was to accept credit cards...
The staff was busy, which gave impression of high turnover, which in turn gave the idea of freshness, and that is good! The variety of breads and pastries was good and interesting. I asked for a crumpet with maple and boston creme because it had creme overflowing. Shockingly it was thrown in a paper bag and handed it to me. When I looked inside it was a mess. After walking a block, the bag started to leak due to the moisture of the creme. I was afraid it would break open, thus I proceeded to eat it. What a mess. My hands got all dirty but the worst part was that part of the delicious cream stayed in the bag. Ugh. I’ll probably go back to try a drier pastry and see. Packaging is important, that’s why I’ll give this bakery just three stars.
The staffers said did nothing while customers did not respecting distancing
Best bakery in town for quality and variety. Would be nice if they made a some sandwiches without mayo or mustard. Unfortunately there's no sandwich option for someone that doesn't like sauce.
Good bread and pastry. Very nice staff. Unfortunately they do not have a bread slicer which is a deal breaker for me.
Good and varied bread. Pastries range from ok to barely edible, it's sad; much better to go to Kouign Aman or Brioche en tête. Baguette at Pain dans les Voiles is way better.
Its ok. The baked goods you buy... Doesn't last long. They get hard quickly. Too bad cause it tastes good.
Summary: As the very definition of baking perfection, Guillaume offers a one a kind experience that is usually unseen on the western side of the Atlantic. The wide selection of baked goods is all better versions of those served at other boulangeries with respect to taste, texture, and freshness. All menu items are outstanding but the Brioche Champignon is absolutely outrageous. Patrons are guaranteed to be satisfied and may find a strong desire to return as soon as they finish their last bite.Must Try: All patisseries and Brioche Champignon. Also recommended: Artisan breads.Avoid: N/A⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Outstanding, worth a special excursion
I had a high expectation when I went there. However I was quickly very disappointed when I tasted what I bought (boston creme pie, three sorts of brioches and a baguette). Results : no flavor, a taste of bread. It not a question of mixing ingredients and selling the products. Check the balance of all the ingredients together. Ask customers and see the reviews. I confirm each review insisting on the absence of flavor. Montreal knows about viennoiseries and we know what’s good or average, but sorry this bakery is below average. Let’s see how they will improve their recipes.
Great bakery, I go there a lot, staff is great I get lots of stuff for very little price.
Trendy bakery with lots of tasty options. Highly recommend the “white mushroom”. Lines move pretty fast.
Awesome breads that always come up with a free smile 😁.
Nice pain au levain or sourdough baguette.
Great place for great bread. Good selection and fresh. The dough is soft and not chewy at all. They do not cut your bread on site tho. Bring your own bag too. They just put your bread in a paper to avoid grabbing it with your bare hands
simply the best bakery in town. there's usually a big line but that's because the bakery was extremely tiny. it shouldn't be a problem anymore as they expand next door. mind you, i haven't visit since the expansion so i do not know about the wait. still, it's all about their bread and baked goods which are simply delicious.they also serve coffee from Saint-Henri if you want coffee but i personally wouldn't bother not because it's not good coffee. more like they are not trained in coffee brewing
Excellent bakery. They tye white mushroom pastries.
